A report published by HSJ this week highlights that almost one in five NHS talking therapy sessions are delivered by practitioners who are not accredited.
Mona Stylianou, Everyturn’s Clinical Director commented:
“At Everyturn, we are proud that all our therapists are fully trained and accredited to NHS England and National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) standards.
“We’re also a trusted training provider for the NHS England and NICE approved talking therapist training programme, which goes one step further to ensuring that we’re developing the next generation of therapists to help meet the growing demand of people accessing talking therapy services.
“We don’t have any colleagues delivering therapy who don’t meet these high accreditation standards and all our trainee therapists are overseen by our strong governance, which has been externally validated by the Royal College of Psychiatrists Accreditation Programme for Psychological Therapy Services (APPTS).
“Everyturn colleagues are also offered a comprehensive Continued Professional Development (CPD) programme, which ensures they stay on top of best practise, grow their skill sets and evolve in their careers, alongside providing the highest standards of support.
“By continually strengthening standards and supporting talking therapists development, we can continue to ensure we’re building a mental health system that is both accessible and safe for everyone.”
