We’re here to help people with complex mental health issues to live well and independently in the community.
Who we support
We work with working age adults who have spent long periods in specialist hospital secure units and have multiple, complex needs, including:
- Personality difficulties.
- Substance misuse.
- Forensic histories.
The support we offer
We work with people to understand and manage their mental health condition, as well as to develop and practise the skills which are important to live a satisfying life.
We work responsively and flexibly to support people to transition into a community setting. We have a skilled workforce of mental health nurses and support workers, who work with people at all stages of their recovery journey.
About our team
Our team of mental health nurses and support workers are specialists in rehabilitation and recovery, and are passionate about what they do.
Our colleagues work with people who have experienced trauma in their lives and can present with behaviours that challenge. We understand that every behaviour is an expression of unmet need. For this reason, we work hard with people to build helpful and trusting relationships, offering stability and consistency.
Due to our level of expertise, we now work with people at an earlier stage of their recovery, where previously they may have been supported in an inpatient environment.
We work in the least restrictive way and collaborate closely with the individual and other professionals to offer ‘just enough’ support, so that people can take the risks they need to in order to reach their potential and flourish in life.
Our colleagues are compassionate and are able to hold the hope for people, even when they are unable to feel hopeful for themselves.
If you were to just walk past Coalway Lane or Jubilee Mews, you probably wouldn’t even notice that they are CQC-registered nursing services. They are both groups of detached houses, with staff annexes nearby.
The houses are fully furnished with all modern conveniences, and all our residents have their own key to the front door and to their bedroom.
