What is the grant?
The grant opportunity is for £500 to be used towards supporting the development of emerging ideas in a service in Newcastle upon Tyne for adults aged 55 and over.
What can the grant be used for?
The grant can be used to enrich the lives of the people being supported within a service. Some ideas could be crafting supplies, activities, equipment for hobbies, events and more.

We’d love to hear from you if you’re a Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise organisation in Newcastle upon Tyne, currently providing or wanting to provide support to people aged 55 years and older.

- When do I need to apply by? Applications must be submitted by 10th October 2025. Unfortunately, applications received after this date will not be considered.
- How can I use my funding? We encourage you to share your ideas on how you plan to use the funding to address an unmet need in your community for adults 55 years and older. Example: The funding can be used for IT equipment (e.g., laptops), craft supplies, Lego, etc.
- What can I not use my grant towards? We cannot accept applications for capital items such as furniture (e.g., tables, chairs) or electrical items like ovens and fridges.
- What do you want to achieve with the funding? We’re interested in hearing how the funding will have a positive impact in your community. Please describe what change you aim to create and how your target audience will benefit. Example: “The funding will support a weekly creative writing workshop for adults 55+ to improve mental well-being.”
- Please indicate the period of which your request for funding will cover. Example: September 2025 – March 2026 (This funding will support a new initiative that we hope will become an ongoing program.)
- How will you evaluate the success of your project? Please share how you’ll measure success, whether through testimonies, case studies, or increases in attendance. Example: “We’ll collect feedback through surveys, track attendance rates, and monitor participant satisfaction.”
