Get Urgent Help

We’re thrilled to see our latest Safe Haven opening on Wallsend high street in North Tyneside today.

It’s the North East’s third Safe Haven, after our Ashington and Newcastle Safe Havens opened last year.

The North Tyneside Safe Haven provides out-of-hours emotional and practical support to Tyneside residents aged 18+ who are experiencing mental health crisis or distress.

The North Tyneside Safe Haven at The Anchorage

We work with people to manage their emotions and find practical support to tackle the practical issues affecting their mental health, which could include:

  • Financial worries or debt
  • Unemployment or issues at work
  • Housing
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Social isolation

The Safe Haven opens today, from 2pm-10pm every day, with in-person, telephone and online appointments available.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in getting third Safe Haven ready for launch! We’re really proud to provide this crucial support for our community.
