Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to travel across Northumberland when needed.

At Everyturn Mental Health, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live well and stay well. Our Mental Health and Wellbeing College empowers people on their recovery journeys through learning, connection, and community.

We’re looking for volunteers to support our Facilitators to help deliver and develop engaging courses and activities face to face. You’ll play a key role in supporting individuals and communities to build on their strengths, develop healthy lifestyles, and take positive steps in their recovery.

Current priority opportunities include:

  • Female volunteer based in Berwick region

What you’ll do:

  • Support Group facilitators in their delivery of peer-led and group learning in person sessions.
  • Work with the College Co-ordinator to identify where your support is most needed.
  • Provide a warm greeting to participants, acting in line with our organisational values of Compassion and Respect.
  • Support the facilitator in their completion of admin duties linked to session delivery.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of leading or accessing 1:1 peer support groups within a mental health setting.
  • Understanding of Mental Health challenges and local population need.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and positive attitude.
  • Respect for confidentiality and a commitment to Everyturn’s values of compassion and respect for all.
  • Engage in continuous professional development.
