Throughout August, we’re looking at how exercise can support not just our physical health, but our mental health too.

As well as helping to keep us fit and healthy, taking part in regular physical exercise can have a positive impact on our mind, such as:

  • Improving our mood
  • Helping to relieve stress and tension
  • Allowing us to spend time with friends and meet new people
  • Helping with sleep problems
  • Setting and achieving goals

Why not take advantage of the warmer summer weather and go for a walk, run or play your favourite sport? It doesn’t have to be a big commitment, even a few minutes a day could have a positive impact on the way you feel!
