We’re really proud to share that our Wirral NHS Talking Therapies service has collaborated on the Readiness for Therapy project.
Commissioned by NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board (ICB), and developed in collaboration by clinical and service leads, and members of the ICB, the Readiness for Therapy project aims to raise awareness of NHS Talking Therapies. The project hopes to help people feel informed about what therapy can look like, what it involves, and the different ways that someone can access support through NHS Talking Therapies.
We know that reaching out for support can often feel daunting, and it’s sometimes difficult to know what to expect. Reaching out for support is often the first step to feeling better, and projects like this can help people feel more informed in their mental health recovery journey.
Alyson Lazoryk, Everyturn’s Clinical Lead, Wirral Talking Therapies service said:
“It was a real pleasure developing the video in collaboration with clinical and service leads from across the region. This video aims to challenge common misconceptions about therapy and support readiness by helping people understand what to expect and how to engage effectively. The video is due to be rolled out into public settings and shared with other professionals, so individuals are equipped with the information”
