Get Urgent Help

Everyturn will continue to deliver community-based mental health support from our Northumberland and North Tyneside Safe Havens, after winning an NHS contract to continue support for the next four years.

James Nichol, Everyturn’s Crisis Services Manager, commented:

“We’re thrilled that Everyturn has once again been trusted to deliver the Safe Havens in Northumberland and North Tyneside over the next four years.

“Our Safe Havens are there for anyone experiencing mental health crisis or distress, offering a calm, compassionate space where no one has to struggle alone. The impact of the Safe Havens over the last six months has been remarkable: The Bothy in Northumberland has supported 9,731 people, and The Anchorage in North Tyneside has supported 2,401 people.

“This is incredibly important work, and I’m so proud of the teams who make it possible every single day. Behind each number is someone who needed support and our teams were there for them, when and where they needed our support most.

“To support this, many people have shown real dedication; both frontline at the Safe Havens and behind the scenes. Our development and support teams work tirelessly to keep everything running smoothly, and I want to offer heartfelt thanks to everyone involved.

“We’re excited to continue working in partnership with NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board to support even more people in local neighbourhoods and communities.”

The Anchorage, on Wallsend high street in North Tyneside; and The Bothy, on Ashington high street in Northumberland will continue to provide support for the next four years.

The services will offer emotional support, help people managing difficult feelings and offer people practical support with finance, housing, relationship and employment advice.
