Meet Prim…

What is it about your work that gets you out of bed in the morning?

Being able to make a difference in someone else’s life.

If you could describe your role in three words, what would they be?

Very rewarding role.

What is the most fulfilling thing about your work?

Being able to see your patient’s journey to recovery.

I’ve had great feedback from patients telling me what a difference I have made in their lives. They felt supported by the service as a whole and felt that we had worked well together to get them where they were.

What is the most challenging thing about your work?

We always hope to see change and a full recovery, however this does not always happen which can sometimes be challenging.

What training opportunities have you been given so far?

Since doing my nursing training, I have always been interested in CBT therapy.

I have been supported to go through my CBT training by Everyturn Mental Health. I’ve completed training via the Learning Hub, where there are lots of courses to enrol yourself in.

What piece of advice or encouragement would you give someone who was thinking of joining our organisation in a role like yours?

If you are passionate about making a difference in other people’s lives, this will be an exciting and rewarding role for you.
