We're really excited to share that Niloufar Hajilou, Everyturn's Executive Director of Quality and Safety is developing a new community of practice! This community will be open to colleagues in the charitable, non-profit and private sector who work across safety and quality.
With over 18 years’ experience in clinical and leadership roles, making person-centred improvements in a wide range of settings in the NHS and private sector, Niloufar is passionate about developing an inclusive, diverse, and learning culture, where the voices of colleagues and the people being supported are at the heart of change.
Let’s hear from Niloufar!
“At Everyturn Mental Health, we are looking to develop a community of practice for colleagues working across safety and quality in the charitable, non-profit and private sector.
“This will be a supportive, collaborative space to share best practice, learning and experience, while keeping the voices of the people who access our services at the heart of decision-making.
“We all know that the health and social care landscape is changing, rapidly. Financial pressures are increasing, priorities are shifting, and the needs of the people we support are becoming more complex. At the same time, widening health inequalities continue to impact outcomes, experiences and long-term wellbeing of the people we support.
“This creates a challenging environment; resources are stretched and expectations are high, yet our commitment to safe, compassionate and high-quality care and support must remain unwavering.
“Despite these pressures, there’s already so much innovation, resilience and a strong sense of purpose across our sector. We must continue to encourage and celebrate this; it’s fantastic.
“But what I’m finding increasingly clear is that no single organisation can meet these challenges alone. This community will bring those of us working within Safety and Quality together in a space that is:
- Collaborative– a place to share learning, ideas and practical wisdom as well as ensuring service user voice is at the heart of change and decision making
- Innovative– Where we explore new approaches in a system that does not stand still
- Supportive– a forum to speak openly about challenges and solutions
- Connected– a chance to strengthen relationships across organisations facing similar pressures
- Purpose led– with a shared commitment to better understanding the impact of health inequalities on outcomes and what we can do together to reduce them
The aim is simple: To support and learn from one another as we steer through a complex, financially constrained, fast changing health and social care landscape.
