This week we’ve been celebrating the introduction of our new values: innovation, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.
Our teams at Pinetree Lodge and Alderwood, two of our 24-hour nursing homes for older people, held launch parties to celebrate our evolution!
The residents were joined by their nursing staff and colleagues from head office to enjoy an afternoon of celebration and entertainment.
At Pinetree Lodge, the team decorated the home and its dementia-friendly garden with a balloon arch, welcome sign, values tree, and balloons emblazoned with our new values to create a colourful and festive atmosphere.
Colleagues wore specially-printed T-shirts for the event, to show their commitment to our values.
Pinetree’s residents and team enjoyed a delicious array of snacks and refreshments, before heading into the sunny garden to continue the celebrations, where a local singer provided an afternoon of musical entertainment.
The entertainment was a huge success, allowing residents and colleagues a much-welcomed opportunity to dance and sing-along.
At Alderwood, staff arranged an incredible afternoon tea for their residents to enjoy, complete with home-made values cupcakes! Staff also put on a sing-along session, bingo, wordsearch, and many more fun activities for the residents to enjoy throughout the afternoon.
The creative team at Alderwood decorated the home with balloons and bright bunting, as well as a fantastic values family tree, which the residents had decorated with notes explaining what each value meant to them.
The residents at Alderwood also made personalised coasters, displaying their favourite value.
We certainly had a fantastic time celebrating our new values, which are fundamental to shaping all aspects of the care and support that we provide.
