Get Urgent Help

We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded £300 from Asda Foundation’s Christmas Fund, which will allow us to continue creating wellbeing boxes for people who are isolated during lockdown or shielding!

The grant will help our Chain Reaction service to continue to provide wellbeing boxes to older people who are isolated – many of whom don’t have access to online resources or social media, so have been finding it increasingly difficult to stay connected to others.

Often, the people who receive our boxes don’t have family nearby, or in some cases, they have no family at all. The team have been receiving calls thanking them for the lovely gifts and support, proving the difference these boxes are making.

Thanks to Asda, the team can continue to put together wellbeing parcels, to help boost people’s moods and to give them positive activities to do whilst at home for extended periods.

The boxes include items such as cross stitch kits, knitting kits, puzzle books, writing and sketch pads, paints, pencils, nail care kits, and anything else that will keep spirits high.

As we head into this time of uncertainty once more, we cannot thank Asda enough for supporting us to help those that need it most. A huge thank you also to Community Transport who are helping us to deliver the parcels, we couldn’t do it without you!

Our Chain Reaction service supports people aged 55 and over to lead happier, healthier lives, by supporting friendships to help combat social isolation and improve overall emotional health and wellbeing.
