Co-designed with health and community partners, and people with lived experience, our flexible services provide the right support at the right time, preventing escalation, improving outcomes and reducing avoidable pressure on statutory and emergency services.

Safe Havens Learn more

Our Safe Havens provide open-access crisis support in a safe, welcoming and non-clinical environment. Our compassionate teams provide a non-judgmental listening ear, emotional support and practical help when people need it most, helping them manage distress, feel safer and identify what support could help.

Operating seven days a week, 365 days a year, including out of hours when other services may be unavailable, our Safe Havens help prevent escalation, support people to remain safely in their communities and reduce avoidable pressure on statutory and emergency services.

Alongside our adult Safe Havens, we deliver dedicated Safe Havens specifically designed for children and young people, providing age-appropriate support in a warm, comfortable and non-clinical setting. People can access support face to face, digitally, by telephone or video call, giving them choice in how and when they engage.

Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) Learn more

Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) is an intensive, 14-day service for people experiencing mental health distress, providing daily contact and compassionate, person-centred support to help prevent their distress escalating into crisis. The service focuses on understanding what is contributing to the person’s distress and helping them develop practical coping strategies, manage their wellbeing and address the social, practical and emotional challenges they may be facing.

Working alongside NHS services, primary care, emergency services and community partners, DBI provides rapid, non-clinical support at the point it is needed most. The team helps people feel more in control of their distress and connects them with appropriate community and longer-term support, helping improve outcomes while reducing avoidable escalation into crisis and statutory services.

Together in a Crisis (TIAC) Learn more

Our Together in a Crisis (TIAC) service provides personalised, 1:1 outreach and case management support for adults experiencing escalating mental health distress linked to practical or social challenges, rather than a primarily clinical need. These pressures can include financial or employment difficulties and other circumstances affecting a person’s wellbeing. Our team provides compassionate, needs-led support for up to12 weeks, working alongside each person to understand what is contributing to their distress and co-create plans that reflect what matters to them.

Throughout the intervention, the team provides practical and emotional support to help people address the issues contributing to their crisis. This can include helping with benefits and finances, employment issues, housing concerns and accessing other services, alongside providing a compassionate listening ear and wellbeing planning. Where additional or longer-term support is needed, the team works alongside the person to connect and engage with appropriate community services. By addressing the practical and social pressures contributing to distress, TIAC helps to de-escalate crisis and help people avoid preventable hospital admission and live safely and independently within their community.

Crisis accommodation services Learn more

Our crisis accommodation services provide immediate, short-term support for people experiencing acute mental health distress, including people living with conditions such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Providing a safe, therapeutic alternative to hospital admission, our services offer rapid access to support, helping people manage immediate distress and regain stability within a community setting.

Working in partnership with NHS Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams and other mental health services, we provide joined-up support to people through periods of crisis, helping them regain stability, reduce the need for inpatient care and move forward in their recovery.

111 Phone and text-based support Learn more

We deliver NHS 111 Option 2 telephone support, providing an accessible first point of contact for people experiencing a mental health crisis. Our mental health advisors provide compassionate, non-clinical support, listening to immediate concerns, identifying needs and risk, and helping people access the right level of support.

We also provide 24/7 crisis text support, giving people another way to reach out when speaking about their mental health may feel difficult. Delivered by trained mental health advisors, the service offers calm, compassionate support, helps people with wider social and practical needs, and works closely with NHS crisis services where urgent support is required.
