Everyturn Mental Health is proud to share that we’ve been named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women™.
The Best Workplaces for Women list recognises companies in the UK that are ensuring gender balance across their organisation, removing barriers to women’s career progression and creating workplaces where all employees, regardless of gender, can flourish.
We’re incredibly proud to be included in this list, acknowledging our commitment to creating a consistently and overwhelmingly positive experience for our colleagues. The work we do is impactful and meaningful, and our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do. We’re really pleased that the women who work at Everyturn feel this is a place that works and cares for them.
In our recent Great Place to Work® survey, we were delighted to see that our colleagues feel valued, safe and supported working here. Some of our strongest areas of positive feedback were:
- People being treated fairly regardless of sexual orientation, gender, race, or age
- Sense of meaning, purpose, and making a positive impact
- Feeling safe and made to feel welcome at work
- Colleagues caring about each other
- Feeling proud to work at Everyturn
- Managers giving empathy and support
What we’re doing to make Everyturn a great place to work for women:
- We’re proud to have reduced our gender pay gap to a mean of 2.55% and a median of 0.6%. Our median gender pay gap is over 10% lower than the average seen in health and social care organisations.
- 72% of our first Future Leaders programme participants were women, all of whom have since been promoted internally. Through our continued our focus on internal career growth, 3/5 of our most senior colleagues are women.
- Rather than waiting for mandatory reporting in 2027, we’re currently shaping our gender equality action plan and menopause action plan. Our internal colleague menopause network ensures support is visible, practical and embedded in how we lead inclusion and wellbeing, and is proudly sponsored by Emily Evans our Deputy Chief Executive.
- Roles are offered flexible as standard, and 33% of our female colleagues work on a part-time or flexible basis. This follows a review and strengthening of our Flexible Working Policy, introducing a more robust framework to better support women in balancing caring responsibilities with career progression, and to help them remain in the workforce.
- We listened to our colleagues and took action on the issues that matter to them – this included co-creating a Fertility Treatment policy with a female colleague and launching to the organisation.
Sarah Dewar, Everyturn’s Executive Direction of People, Digital and Transformation commented:
“At Everyturn, being recognised as a great place to work for women and as an inclusive employer matters because it reflects who we are and the difference we want to make.
Our colleagues are at the heart of our mission to ensure no one struggles alone, and when women — and all colleagues — feel valued, supported, safe and able to thrive, they bring their best to the people and communities we support.
Inclusion is not a separate commitment; it is how we live our values, remove barriers, strengthen our culture and create better mental health support for everyone.”
