Our social media channels
Our social media channels aren’t a crisis service, so we can’t support you in a crisis. If you need urgent support, please visit the urgent help page on our website.
You can find Everyturn on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Our social media is a place for us to share:
- Advice and information on mental health topics
- News about our services
- Stories from the people we support
- Careers, what it’s like to work with us, and colleague stories
- Our responses to current events
At Everyturn, our values of innovation, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence live through everything we do, including our social media channels! We love to hear from people, and it’s great to see you connecting with us and each other.
We want our social media channels to feel safe and welcoming, so we have some community guidelines.
Our community guidelines
When you’re interacting with one of our social media posts:
1. Be respectful to others
We welcome discussions, as long as they stay kind and respectful.
2. We don’t do stigma
It’s really important that we all continue to learn, so if you do make a comment that is stigmatising or misinformed, we’ll usually step in to explain why. If it continues, we may hide or delete your comment.
3. Nothing that targets a specific person
For example, if you call out one of our colleagues by name with an accusation, we’ll hide your comment. For complaints, use our feedback page on our website.
4. Making sure we’re mindful
When you’re talking about topics like suicide, self harm, abuse, etc, it’s best to leave out the details. We’re always here to listen to people’s experiences, but the specific details may be upsetting to others.
5. What we won’t put up with
Any form of hate speech or discrimination. Even if you don’t mean to be offensive, this can be incredibly harmful. And people whose feelings are hurt are valid. We want our social media to be safe for everyone, so when comments fall into these areas, we’ll hide or delete your comment without warning.
