The counselling we offer at Everyturn Mental Health is a person-centred form of counselling for depression. It is an evidence-based treatment approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for people experiencing symptoms of depression.

This approach targets the emotional problems underlying depression, helping you to develop an understanding these problems in order to overcome them. The aim is to help explore any underlying feelings, make sense of them, and reflect on the new meanings that emerge.

It can be helpful for a wide range of problems, such as relationship issues or difficulty in adjusting to challenging life events, including:

  • Divorce
  • Redundancy
  • Low self-esteem
  • Health-related issues
  • Loss
  • Other significant life-changing events

Counselling for depression allows you the opportunity to talk openly about past and present issues in a safe and confidential environment, with one of our trained counsellors.

You will be able to explore and make sense of the feelings underlying your depression, learn how to express these feelings, and develop new coping mechanisms to improve your wellbeing.
